For 65 years, Abey has been synonymous of quality and innovation, bringing the latest designs and technologies to Australia & New Zealand. The ability to seize opportunities, an intimate knowledge of the industry and a flexible and responsive management style have been a fundamental key to the company’s success.

A Proud Heritage

1953 – Abey is founded and begins manufacturing plumbing & building products by 1965.

1979 – Abey invents a new plumbing clipping system and revolutionises the industry, winning the“Best New Product” plumbing award

1990 – Abey develops a new range of corrosion proof Stainless Steel masonry products after the Newcastle (NSW) earthquake.

1991 – Abey seized the opportunity to develop their own branded sinkware marking the beginning of its presence in the high-end kitchen and laundry appliances market.

1999 – Abey moves its Head Office, manufacturing and warehousing operations into a purpose-built facility in Melton (VIC). With a 10,000 sqm state of the art building and 26 acres of land, there is ample space for growth.

2002 – Abey acquires the exclusive distribution of World Leader ‘GESSI’ which places Abey in the high-end tapware market.

2004 – Abey opens Designer Selection Centres in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth and introduces the exquisite ‘RIFRA’ Italian Bathroom furniture.

2006 – Abey launches ‘BARAZZA’ cooking appliances, an Italian made product with innovative designs and superior quality.
